Well...today it's all happening!! Rachel started having contractions last night about 8:00. They have been progressing through this morning! She has not been admitted into the hospital because her contractions need to be 5 minutes apart and at least 1 minute long for at least an hour. Well, she's got the 1 minute part down, but the 5 minutes has not been consitant. But, we are thinking by later this afternoon she should be ready to go to the hospital and get this show on the road! I will try and update before we leave for the hospital, but I won't promise anything. But, I will definitely update once everything is over and we have a sweet baby boy to hold!!!

Special Time With Dad!
My dad and I went to Wal-Mart tonight. I had to get pullups and facewash, and he had to get a fish for the church library. We took the fish to the church and checked the big aquarium first. It was great! He loves those fish! He takes such good care of them...putting his own hands in there to dig out the yucky food. IT's so cute how he is. Then, we went to the library to deliver the Beta to his new home. We got him in there and he was really a beauty! I mean, he was "strutting his stuff" as my dad said. It was great! I love spending moments like that with my dad. They are so special. I would recommend it to all of you. Make a special call, or visit to say hi to your dad! I know it will mean something to him!

One More Thing...
...I forgot to mention that Colton can count to 13 now!!! He's a Genius!!! Probably the smartest kid since when I was his age!!!! jk Nah, for real, he is super smart. It's great! My plan is for him to be really smart, but also an athlete. I don't want him to be the "nerdy smart guy" or the "dumb jock" so he will be the "quarterback of the football team, homecoming king, president of the senior class and Valedictorian"!! I'm pretty sure he can handle it! he's got about 16 years to get ready for it! Right now he's counting the years...I guess he thinks it will only take him 13 years! He already knows he's smart! Ok, enough from the bragging mother!!! (what am I going to do when I have more children?!?! I will end up spending every ounce of my being just being proud of my kids!! But, doesn't every parent wish the best for their kids and praise their good works and accomplishments? I'm just starting early!)
Ok, I need to get some sleep! Wow, two blogs in one night! That has got to be a record for me! I hope you guys are writing this down! Good Night! ;)

Potter Update!
Well, it's that time again!!! Time for my "MONTHLY" update! Each time I update, I say I will get better about updating, but I don't! So, this time I'm not going to make any promises!!!
As you all know it is now September! Crazy, I know! It seems like just yesterday Lindsay was calling me to tell me she was pregnant, and that was in January!!!! WOW How time flies! Now, she is just a few short weeks away from having her little baby girl...who by the way is nameless to all of us!!! But, I won't even go into that!!! I am so excited for Lin! She will be a wonderful little mommy! It will be fun to share mommy time with her! (in all of my spare time!!! I will find time, I promise!!)
It's also getting nearer my SeaStar, Rachel's, time to have her baby. Less than 2 months and she will also be able to hold her little boy in her arms! I am so excited about being an AUNT!!! I think I will be a good one. At least I will try. I am enjoying my aunt-duties so far! Getting to throw both Rachel and Lindsay a baby shower has been so much fun to plan, and have. Rachel's shower is this coming up weekend...and let me tell you, we have lots of fun things planned! It will be a lot of fun...and she will get lots of nice stuff! I can't wait!!!
Colton is talking like a maniac. He loves his aunts, and wants to play with them, or their boyfriends all the time. He calls Blake, Beka's boyfriend, by his name. It's so cute. I don't think he has quite learned Jarod's or Derek's name fully, but he is working on it. Anyway, he and Blake have such a great time together every time Blake comes over. It is so cute! Colton is all into saying sentences and stuff. He says " 'mon Geka" (that means come on beka) and " 'mon Noonee" (that's susanna). He also says "my mommy" or "my mimi" or "my papa"!! I love it. He is such a cuddle bug!
Today we got his hair cut. He did much better than the last two haircuts! I did bribe him with a whole ziplock bag of grapes! That kept his attention almost the whole time! He's also been a bit of a night owl. Staying up later than usual, and taking shorter naps. i don't mind him staying up later, but the shorter naps have GOT TO GO!!! We all need our alone time! So, he needs to get back on schedule, as far as naps are concerned!
Well, that's it for now. It was a long blog. I'm sure you all are saying "how about a bunch of shorter blogs, instead of one huge blog once a month". Yeah! Yeah! We all have dreams and high hopes...but not all come true!! ;)
Anyways, I will post again soon!!! (notice I didn't say sonner than last time, or closer together! I don't want to get any hopes up!!) Hope you all have a great day, week, and month!
Love,
deb

| You Are 24 Years Old |
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe. 13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world. 20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences. 30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more! 40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. |

WHERE DOES THE TIME FLY!!!
It's crazy how time flies. It's already August! WOW! It seems just yesterday it was January. Colton is about to turn two in less than three months. That means that Rach's baby will be here in less than three months. I can't wait to see you Sport!! (that's what we are calling him for the time being. they haven't decided on a name) Boy am I excited about being Aunt Deb! It's one thing to have a child of your own, but to watch your own sister go through pregnancy! It's amazing! I love being on the sideline, just watching, and smiling. Rach is doing great. The little man is due on Colton's birthday, October 30. I can't wait. I think he will be early. Cause he's already so big. I thought Colton would always be the biggest baby, but this little man is trying his hardest to catch up to his big cousin. It's great. I can't wait to see him, and hold him. I know he will be beautiful!
Mom, Rach and I went a couple weekends ago to register for the little man. It was great! I had all kinds of "good advice", but I managed to just voice the most important things. This is Rach's experience. I don't want to butt in and be a know-it-all. It's also nice to get to watch all of this, and not be the one pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I loved being pregnant, but there is no way I could handle another baby right now, along with Colton...even if the circumstances were different. But, whatever! I'm loving it!
Colton is doing good. He's a bit of a toot! He's started this whining business that's so annoying. I hate it! We are working on stopping that nonsense! But, other than that, he is growing up like a weed. He's getting taller and slimming down a bit. He is just so grown up, and he knows it! I love it! Every day he learns some new word or phrase. One hilarious thing is he will stop doing whatever it is he is doing, get right in your face, tilt his head to the side, and say "what? what?" and keep saying it and changing sides of his head tilt! He says it with so much expression! Just like we say it. I wish I could record it and put it on this blog! I know you all would get a kick out of it!
Well, I guess that's enough babbling from me. I know I say I will try and write more often, but who knows. I can only try! Well, hope everyone is doing great!
