Tomorrow's The Big Day

So, tomorrow is the Big Day! Colton's Choir Performance!! I have been so excited and looking forward to it for months, now!! Colton has had practice every Wednesday night. And we have been pretty faithful about going, except when he was sick. Colton loves singing, and he loves going to choir!

So, a couple weeks ago, my mom and I were starting to wonder how he would do getting up in front of everyone. Because lately, he has had a mind of his own! Very stubborn...to say the least. He knows what he wants, and has a one-track-mind about it. So, if he doesn't think he wants to do it, he won't!

So, two Wednesdays ago, I went to pick him up. And the lady pulled me aside and said:
"I just wanted to give you a little heads up. We went to practice on the risors and Colton did not want to leave the classroom to go. He just didn't want to do it. It was almost like he thought that if he left the classroom, his mommy wouldn't know where to find him. So, I just wanted to warn you, that come performance night, there is a chance that he won't want to sing. And I didn't want you to be surprised or upset. This is completely normal at this age. So, don't worry."

Well, I wasn't the least bit surprised! A little sad because I have been looking forward to it. I will say this though, he wasn't the least bit scared that I wouldn't know where to find him! He just didn't want to do it!!! So, I talked to him on the way home and let him know that I wanted him to stand on the stairs with the other boys and girls and sing. That it would make me very happy and proud of him. He said: "ok, I will. I want to stand next to Kelsea!"

So, we shall see! I doubt he will end up doing it, but I will have a little hope! ;) I will definitely give you guys an update!! And if he does do it, I will post pics!

CONGRATULATIONS LINDSAY!!

I just wanted to write a quick note to say CONGRATULATIONS LINDSAY, BJ, & HAYDEN!!! As most of you already know, Lindsay & BJ are expecting their second little one early next year! I could not be more excited for them! How fun!

Terrible, I know...yet oh so funny!

So, my mom was watching Colt last night, like she does every Thursday night, for me. And they did their normal routine: eat dinner, take a bath, play in his room, read a book, go to sleep.

Well, Colt decided to spice things up a bit. How did he do this? He POOPED in the bathtub...wait it gets better, I mean worse...and then he proceeds to throw the poop out of the tub onto the floor. My mom was watching tv in her bed while he took a bath (don't worry, she is only about 10 feet away and has a straight shot of him in the tub) and she just happened to glance over at him and saw the "blobs" on the floor. She was so mad!! Needless to say, he got a spankin' from Papa!

I'm sorry, but I CRACKED UP LAUGHING when I heard the story!!! I didn't let Colt know that I thought it was funny...cause it's not! But man, that's hilarious! He has NEVER pooped in the bathtub...EVER! I guess that's what made it so bad cause he's 3 years old...and he knows better. I don't know why he did it. But, he did. And he got in trouble for it. So, he knows not to do it again.

But, I will continue to laugh about it...cause it's a great story!!! Terrible, I know...yet oh so funny!

Just a Few Tidbits of Info!

First, and foremost...Colton's choir program will be Wednesday, May 2, 2007 @ 6:45pm. Be there! YEA!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!

Second, and I know all of you were just dieing to know this, 4 years ago today Colton was conceived!!! (see, I told you you wanted to know!!) Oh how I love that little man! Such a sweetheart!

I think that's all I know. But, I'll keep you updated if I think of something else!

Ramblings!

Well, today is Wednesday, and I'm bored at work. It's raining outside and a little chilly! But, it's quite toasty inside! I think I might be ready for Spring...I haven't quite decided yet...but, I do know that I am tired of the rain, the cold rain to be exact! But, I don't mind the cold.

Speaking of Wednesday, I started Colton in the 3-year old choir at our church. They meet every Wednesday night. I am so excited for him!! Their musical is Wednesday, May 2nd, and they are singing 4 songs. The theme is Praise. They sent home a cd last week with all of the songs that they are singing. We listened to it on the way home, and Colton knew a lot of the songs...and some hand motions. It was really cute! I think I'm more excited than he is. He's got a really good voice, and he loves to sing! He has a cd player in his room with about 3 or 4 cds. I will catch him singing along whenever he's playing in his room. He knows every song...and he knows which one is coming up next. It's all just so cute and precious to me! I love it!

UPDATE ON POTTY TRAINING!!
Colton has finally decided to start being a big boy! It's about dang time! He does pretty much perfect every day. Even this weekend, in Dallas, he wore big boy underwear all weekend while staying at his other grandparents. This is a huge deal...cause usually he doesn't care, and they don't make him. Well, everybody cares now! I'm so relieved! It looks like my baby won't be wearing a pull-up to kindergarten after all!!! WHEEEEEEEEEW!!

We visited Caleb, Colton's Daddy, this weekend at his parents house. That was fun. Caleb's other son, Zach, was there. This was the first time I've seen Zach since last March, and the first time Caleb's seen him since he's been back from Iraq. (Issues with Zach's mother...won't go into that!!) Anyway, the whole weekend was so much fun for the boys! They went to Aunt Jennea's music class, and then to Chucky Cheese, and then back to the house to watch Star Wars. I didn't get to witnes the music class or Chucky Cheese, but the rest of the time I did.

While the boys were playing, I got to play with my SeaStars! It was Rachel's birthday. Susanna and I went to the movies with Rach Friday night to see Catch and Release. Great movie. Then we went back to her house and chatted a bit before crashing. Mom met up with us the next day to do pedicures, and then off we went to meet Mama at Boston's for lunch. Well, we surprised Rach. Dad, who wasn't going to be able to come, met us there with Grandad, Derek and Hudson! Rach was so excited! She got lots of great gifts. The whole weekend was fun! HOORAY! I'm ready to do it again. The only bummer thing was Beka had to work, so she didn't get to come. But, I'm hoping she can next time!

Fridays! Weekends! Visits from Rach & Hud! Veggie Tales! Dr.'s Visits! Winning money for singing on the Radio! WooHoo!!

Well, I'm not at my home computer, so I can't post pics. But, I can update!

It's Friday! I love Fridays! I hope today flies by. Rach & Hud are coming to visit today. I'm so excited!!! We get to go shopping, get the boys' pictures taken, go to the movies, hang out, chat it up, etc! I'm excited! Although I am sad that Derek doesn't get to come, Colton is sad too, but it will be fun just the girls...well, and Colt & Hud & Dad! But, you guys know what I mean!

Anyway, last Saturday night, my mom, Colton & I went to see Veggie Tales Christmas Live! It was so cool! Colton loved it. It was really neat! My mom got the tickets for us. It was great! There were guys and girls that danced and sang with the "Veggies". It was really quite entertaining...even to us Moms! The Veggies mouths moved and their eyes moved. Pretty cool. But, I have to say that the funniest part, hands down, was when the black part of one of Bob the Tomatoes' eyes came off, and he had one eye that looked like it had rolled in the back of his head!!! It was hilarious! We were rolling. It took them about 15 seconds to realize what had happened, so then Bob turned around and had his back facing us for the remainder of the song, and then one of the girls, while saying her part, non-chalontly (sp) put his eye back on! It was great! Mom and I were laughing for like 10 minutes...and then on the way home! Pretty funny! You probably had to be there! Anyway, we will definitely go again next year...but bring Hudson along too!!!

Now for the next update...I took Colton to the doctor on Wednesday for his checkup!!! Since we missed his 2 year checkup, we had to make up for that. I was a bit worried he would have to have a ton of shots, but he only needed one shot. So, we got that shot and the flu shot. He weighed in at 35.6 (I think she miscalculated...I think he weighs more, but oh well) and he is 38 inches tall. So, 3 feet, 2 inches!!! He is 75% for weight and about 73% for height!! So, he's pretty evened out! He's definitely slimming down! (and for all of you moms who think I'm terrible for not taking him to his 2 year checkup, we went at like 22 months, and then his doctor quit, so we had to change doctors. and then the pediatric department decided to close down. so I had to find a completely new doctor's office. Plus, with his insurance, Army insurance, we have to submit our Primary Care Physician to them before we can go there. It's kinda a lengthy process. But, i'm not complaining. Insurance is free. Dr.'s visits are free. And his meds are either $9 or $4. So, it's all good!) So, I have a healthy boy! Oh, during the visit, since it's a physical, they have to check EVERYTHING!!! So, when it came time to check his piener, he didn't want me to take his underwear off. He was crossing his legs and covering up himself with his hands. It was too cute. He was embarrassed!!! It was too cute! That's about THE only time in his little 3-year life that he has ever been embarrassed! Too cute!

What's next? Let's see? Oh, I won $100 American Express giftcard on the radio yesterday! I had to finish the Christmas song. It was Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you"! Pretty fun! I was very excited!

Colton's 3rd Birthday Party!

Finally!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who were patient, thanks! For those of you who weren't, serves you right to have to wait for pictures!! ;)

Anyway, Colton's birthday, or IncrediParty, was a blast! He had so much fun with all of his little friends! We rented a moonwalk...that was a huge hit! Below are some pics! Enjoy!
